The Ride of the Four Horsemen

Saint John received the Book of Revelations from Jesus' angel on the Isle of Patmos after Jesus ascended. Revelations is one of those 'oricals', you know, like metaphorical and allegorical. Like an oracle, it comes from another plane and has to be judged and interpreted as such. Speaking of judgements, there was a story recently that a whole host of experts: psychologists, lawyers and judges, held a re-trial. They found Joan of Arc Not Guilty by reason of insanity. Their reason was that she heard voices (it was Archangel Michael). So if you fall into that camp, you might as well quit reading right now. I don't want to waste your time.

John heard voices too. He didn't have rock music bombarding him 24\7, or people talking his ear off, or the TV blaring or continuous visual input. He actually took the time to listen to God. Of course, he had the spiritual discipline, training (probably from several lifetimes) and fire in his heart to be able to do so. It takes that kind of attunement to understand Revelations fully, as well as the Holy Spirit and the realization that the ride of the Four Horsemen, above all else, relates to karma and reincarnation. It is ironic that the greatest stumbling block to understanding that is found at the end of Revelations:

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book Rev. 22:19

Whoa, Scary stuff! First of all, the Bible is several books composed over time, not only that, it says "the book of this prophecy". That can only refer to the Book of Revelations and yet when you try to point out to "the letter of the Law" Christians, that the Bible has been changed; that karma and reincarnation has been taken out; they will quote this verse as well as a few others. They completely overlook the fact that that quote only applies to the Book of Revelation. How conveniant. What does that tell you? Don't trust any Bible thumping Minister's interpretation of Revelations. Their knowledge is incomplete. To learn more about karma and reincarnation at this site, go here.

The best interpretation I've ever read or heard on Revelations and the ride of the Four Horseman is found in the pocketbook: Saint Germain's Prophecy for the New Millenium, by Elizabeth Clare Prophet with Patricia Spadaro and Murray Steinman. Elizabeth Clare Prophet's vision and interpretation of the Spirit of the Law in Scriptures is unparalleld.

She relates how several cycles are coming due right now, a 2,000 to 2,150 year cycle of Pisces changing into Aquarius and the end of an age or Kaliyuga of 25,800 years which is actually the 12 signs of the Zodiac multiplied by 2,150. This is an opportunity, by God's grace and Jesus' help, to correct many if not all of the mistakes (karma) of the past. The Four Horseman bring that karma in succession:

As the vision unfolds, the thunder of the hoofbeats precedes the horses and their riders. They are moving toward me in a straight line. Those nearest me signify imminent karma; those at a greater distance signify that which is yet to come... The night is illumined by a full moon, whose magnetic pull on the emotions symbolizes mankind's vulnerability to their karma. Although the night is bright, the riders are dark silhouettes against an age of spiritual darkness. Prophecy for the New Millenium p. 154

The first horse is black and is generally regarded as a harbinger of economic collapse. John says:

And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see! And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. Rev. 6:5, 6.

The balances represent the weighing of personal and planetary karma. The manipulation of the economies by the power elite and corrupt governments could result in famine, indicated by the exorbitant price for barley. Mrs. Prophet sees the wine relating to Spirit and the oil to earth, both of which we need. She saw the black horse again in 1987:

... I looked up and saw the black horseman directly in front of me. I raised my right hand and called to Almighty God to stop the black horse. Then I saw the black horse rear up on its hind legs and stay frozen in that stance.

Just weeks later, awakened in the wee hours of the morning, I saw the black horse again. His forelegs touched the ground a number of times and reared up again. Five days later, in the middle of the night, I saw the black horse come down on all four hooves, race around me and go beyond me, the white horse galloping after.

There was no stopping either of them ... Prophecy for the New Millenium, pp.156-7

"Black Monday," Oct. 19, the Wall Street debacle happened shortly after. We have become increasingly tied to world economies. It's a fragile arrangement. The karma of one will affect the many. Is it a house of cards? or not? Here is John's description of the white horse:

And I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. Rev. 6:1, 2.

Mrs. Prophet sees this as large and small scale wars for the United States. The white horse also represents our spiritual nature. Are we fulfilling our divine purpose, to align with the God within and above or the false Gods. Based on what people seem to be worshipping, it seems we're losing that battle. Next comes the red horse as seen by John:

And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. Rev. 6:3, 4.

Besides the obvious implications of war, the red also symbolizes the desires and emotions and the 'warring in our members,' as the Apostle Paul describes. Our desires have strayed away from God thereby making us vulnerable to the karma of war. If we used our desire bodies to love God and the Christ in others then the red horse would not find an entrée into our world.

Death on a Pale Horse by William Blake

As William Blake's painting depicts, the pale horse brings death. John says:

And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Rev. 6:7, 8.

The first three parts of the earth are the etheric, mental and emotional bodies. The fourth part is the physical. All of the karma we have sewn collectively and personally that we have not transmuted or balanced on the cosmic balance scale becomes physical. Jesus has held back our karma for 2,000 years to allow us to rise up spiritually in order to take responsibility for our actions of the past. That is what is meant by Him taking our sins upon His shoulders. The karma may be a "slow, sweet death" according to Mrs. Prophet or it could come in "sudden destruction, including famine, plague, war, AIDS, cancer, new viruses, suicide and the misuse of music or drugs, alcohol, nicotine and other harmful substances." Our bodies are the "temple of God" according to Paul. We are polluting the physical in us and globally. Mrs. Prophet saw the four horsemen again in the nineties, racing:

This time the horsemen are running on a large race track. This track is so large that when they are on the other side of it, they are galloping over the horizon. As the horses gallop around the racetrack, each one in its turn periodically passes the others so it can deliver a designated bundle of karma, ... Prophecy for the New Millenium, pp. 163-4

Elizabeth Clare Prophet goes on to explain the exact science of the return of different types of karma as the four horsemen race around the track and through time. A synopsis will not suffice. One needs to read the whole chapter to understand the cycles. The bottom line is that we're in the physical portion now and it will be harder to deal with our physical karma than all the other portions meted out by the riders. However, Jesus has been helping us prepare for these 2,000 years and other great adepts and Masters have stepped forward since the late 1800's. They have given us the spiritual tools to make it on the path, many of which are in this book.

As Mrs. Prophet explains, our negatives and positives within us are like magnets. Accentuate the positives but dig down deep to mine those negatives because we are like magnets. We will attract circumstances and people who are on the same wave length. Get rid of all the bad habits, misconceptions, psychological problems, hatreds, etc., because in this time of accelerated karma, the four horsemen are no respecter of persons nor personalities. They will deliver your karma.
